Research Committee
One of the goals of the Coquitlam Civic League is to hold local government more accountable to the wishes of its citizens. The research committee is committed to identifying the wishes, values, and visions of citizens through a variety of means including surveys, dialogue, conferences, and polling. We are also interested in developing methods to measure how well local government is honouring the wishes of citizens.

Civic Government 101
Our local government has a significant impact on the quality of our day-to-day life, yet many people do not understand the role of local government. 'Civic Government 101' is an opportunity to learn more about civic government, what they do, what kinds of decisions they make, and how decisions are made. The more you understand the role of local government, the more you can contribute to the decisions that affect your local community. If you would like to help design this seminar please contact us at ted@coquitlamcivicleague.ca.

Fundraising
The Coquitlam Civic League is a new and innovative community organization committed to fostering greater citizen engagement in local government. The success of the Coquitlam Civic League will depend upon the generousity and support of local citizens. Help us to share the message of the Coquitlam Civic League and to raise the funds needed to be a successful and viable community organization.

Communications
The communications committee has the responsibility to communicate the ideas and intentions of the Coquitlam Civic League with the rest of the community. If you have a passion for writing, web design, promotion, or community engagement, consider sharing your time and talents with the communications committee.
